Integration and interoperability

Nottinghamshire’s digital projects make sure that delivering high quality care remains the top priority . With many transformational programmes underway, there has been a need to access information across care departments for a number of years. To achieve this, multiple systems have been required, often with contractual arrangements and additional controls put in place to ensure best-practice .

This has allowed the following new models of care to be implemented:

• National Patient Index
• Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG)
• Clinical Portal
• Total Mobile Connect
• Viper 360
• eHealthscope - a GP-led risk stratification tool that allows a small subset of data to flow from GP systems, community systems and acute provider systems into a secure data warehouse.

• Nottinghamshire IT Managers (NITMAN)
• EM Cloud
• Public wi-fi hotspots
• Sharing of premises
• NHSmail 2
• Cross-domain authentication
• COIN/networks
